Background

Dr. Daphne Cheng received her Bachelor of Science from the University of British Columbia and Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University in Oregon. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Excellence in Vision Therapy Award for her clinical skills in diagnosing and treating patients with strabismus (eye turn), amblyopia (lazy eye), eye teaming deficiencies, vision-related learning problems and post-trauma/concussion vision syndrome. 

Her optometric experiences include working at the US Air Force eye clinic in Hawaii and the Veterans Affair hospital in California treating patients with glaucoma, macular degeneration and other eye diseases. In addition, she has provided free eye exams to patients in rural areas of Costa Rica.

Dr. Daphne Cheng is passionate about rehabilitating patients with visual dysfunctions caused by brain injuries (ex. concussion/trauma). She has taken post-graduate courses from the Optometric Extension Program Foundation (OEPF) and Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation Association (NORA) to enhance her clinical skills and continually attends courses and conferences on new advances in the field.
